Never again fascism! Never again war!

I am going to visit the former concentration camp Buchenwald next Sunday to commemorate the 65th anniversary of its liberation.
In the face of the Holocaust and the liquidation  of human lives as an industrial process, the Oath  of Buchenwald "Never again fascism! Never again  war!" is today as relevant as it was in 1945. For me this commemoration  means in particular compassion, solidarity, internationalism, and fighting against  anti-Semitism  and neo-Fascism. It is also a chance and a pledge for a future society in peace, equality and democracy despite all the problems we still have today.
I leave you with an impressive clip of Kseniya Simonova, a talented Ukrainian artist. She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.
